The minor in Economics consists of the following:
- Introduction to Microeconomics (220:102) with grade of C or better
- Introduction to Macroeconomics (220:103) with grade of C or better
- and four (220) economics elective courses. These can include Intermediate Micro 220:320 (previously 203), Intermediate Macro 220:321 (previously 204), and/or Econometrics 220:322.
Among the non-introductory courses only one course with a D can count towards the minor.
Engineering students may start with 220:200 with a grade of C or better, but they must take one additional course for the minor for a total of 18 credits.

Beginning Fall 2010, Engineering students cannot get minor credit for both 01:220:308 and 14:540:343
Please note: Accounting courses cannot be used toward the minor.
Only two courses outside the Economics Department in Rutgers-New Brunswick will be accepted toward the minor.
